They won't be working on it constantly. Let's say it's an 8 hour job, while they do things such as draining the oil, they'll move onto another job. It's more efficient for them and more cost effective for you. Some car dealerships will offer a "sit and watch" service at a premium which sees a technician work on your vehicle from start to finish of the job.

Popped into Dom's Bike Stop in Leominster for a cuppa char, then headed for Hereford, turned off on the Gloucester road, picked up the Worcester-Hereford road and turned off on the Worcester-Leominster road and home. It was slightly hot! You should try this run @cookiemonster. It's a nice hours ride.
I actually did something similar about 6 weeks ago. Your right it is a good ride.

I missed the turning for Doms first time but they do a nice sausage sarnie.

I'll have to meet you there sometime.
Dom's is open late on a Tuesday. Leominster Classic Motorcycle Club have got an open house event on 06/07/22, 3pm-9pm at Dom's. Probably a couple of hundred bikes turned up last year. They had competitions for best BrItish bike, Italian etc. I got talking to a chap in Llandovery a month or so back. He said he was from Bransford, Worcester. I thought it might have been you until I mentioned Tankslap and he'd never heard of it :D

Quite wet down in Wales this weekend Kwacky. How did you all get on? A group of 6 passed me in my car around 2pm near Leominster on Friday afternoon. Wasn't you was it?

It rained most of the time we were in Wales.

That wouldn't have been us. We were on the south west coast on Friday and there were 5 of us.

I had a nice 200 mile ride with a few friends today up in the Yorkshire Moore's and all on one tank of liquid gold, this bike LOVES super, probably because of the lower ethanol... Or maybe it's the weight reduction in my wallet.

Today I washed and polished it, set the tyre pressures and put it away again ready for tomorrows ride to somewhere about 15 miles north of Oban for 3 nights in the land of midges with fangs... I haven't been on a biking holiday for years and years so it should be fun.

Washed Wales out of it and gave it a ceramic polish on the paint and plastics.

Just as I got the drying cloth out the weather continued the Wales gift that just keeps giving and fecking rained. Gazebo up and finished the job.

Rode it home from the land of Fanged midges and rain, the planned route went out the window after the lunch stop at the half way point, which was still in Scotland (coffee and paid £2.11.9 for V-Power, the bike really likes it and averaged 64mpg, until the home stretch down the A1M when speeds got up a bit. (bandit)

From Carlisle it was A66, coffee at Scotch Corner than A1M south.

Wash day tomorrow and a fresh coat of C2 (rock)

Crashed it.! (doh)

Not today, yesterday. Not a biggy, just a lowside on the entry to hairpin at Cadwell ( took too wide a line trying a politely wide overtake the outside, and my front tyre must have hit some gravel or oil ).
The medics recon I've chipped the end of my clavicle, and maybe cracked a couple of ribs, but that's all. Getting my leathers back on over my swollen shoulder "smarted a bit", and obviously coughing is literally a pain (hope I didn't contract Covid from the Medics, I can do without a cough right now).

Little bike behaved herself. Apart from initially trapping me underneath her, when I kicked her off she slid away nicely till she hit the rubbing strip wherein she flipped over & onto the grass, coming to a stop nicely off the track.

Feeling a little tender today.
This coffee tastes strange,,,,, :^

Better than me. (giggle)
The frame slider has been ground shorter. Engine casing protectors did their job, but not much thickness left in them and they have acquired an interesting red & white patina which I assume is where she tore a path through Cadwell's rumble strip. Foot brake lever is now little more than a shaft, with the remnants of the pedal plate still attached but no longer a pedal as such. Brake guard was stuffed ( but fortunately I carry a spare). Paddock stand bobbin on that side is bent back, but I used the spindle protection bobbins instead. Apart from that just the usual scrapes to the brake lever & bodywork.
