Re: The Daily Post Election Politics Thread
Johnson has just told am international press conference that he's in Ukraine and Russia to stall the Russians while we send in troops to strengthen the Ukraine border
He's a **** Muppet. Of course the Russians are watching troop movements but you don't go public and scupper any chance you've got of carrying on talks.

He's not flouncing about over there in any genuine attempt to influence the actions of the powers at play.
He's about and about in an attempt to be seen by those myopic dupes who empowered him as a "world statesman" telling those silly johnny foreigners to stop being naughty or ingerland will,,,,, be very angry.?
Pathetic posturing, specifically for a target audience who are too blinkered and shallow to see anything they don't want to see imho.

There's a reason why May blocked a lot of information going to Johnson.

This has been happening for years (hundreds), the fact that they're now barely hiding it should tell you more.

Hopefully we never see him in public again. At least we now know he was guilty.

The Royal family will drop him like a stone, it's just a shame he won't be going to prison. Utterly disgusting when you think about it.

If there is a war in Ukraine, it will be the culmination of Putin undermining the USA with backing Trump and Europe with Johnson and Brexit so he can effectively walk into countries on his border due to a weakened West.
Where next? Poland????

Moldova. He's already got troops in there along the Moldova and Ukraine border.

Re: The Daily Post Election Politics Thread
I suspect that Ukraine is using it to galvanise long term Western support and Russia (or more importantly Putin( is using it as a negotiation tool for both home and overseas.
Russia is struggling. A show of strength looks good for Putin. A typical Russian tactic is to be very aggressive, putting their opponent on the back for so they're reactive rather than proactive. Putin can show Russians that he's a leading world figure because all of the world leaders are coming to him, asking for peace.
That Craig Murray has a very chequered past. He's had a long-standing sympathy towards Russia.
Anyway, there's only one place to get an accurate viewpoint on the situation:

Re: The Daily Post Election Politics Thread
By "chequered past", do you mean standing up to power?

Re: The Daily Post Election Politics Thread
By "standing up to power" do you mean proffering views which agree with your political ideologies?
Look, we can play this game all day. You can read into my post whichever way gives you most comfort.
