It's shit. Plus it was dark when I left work. I'm a bit out of practice when it comes to night riding.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
I dug out an old scrub to throw on the back wheel. Been waiting far to long for a tyre I ordered. Seems that a lot of this kind of thing is getting held up in customs now due to brexit.
Trouble is I sent my paddock stand off with the gixer that has gone to MSG Racing. So made up a make shift set up with a bike trolley lift and ratchet straps.... Ha ha ha.... I am pleased to say the wheel is back on now. It did not fall over, PHew ! That could have gone so wrong. I have to say getting a back wheel back in at a 30 degree angle was challenging.

Fitted the battery charging leads so she's ready to go anytime.

Gave it a coat of ACF-50, checked it has oil and put it away again.

Quick spin on Sunday, cold tyres, old scrub so not ideal for this time of the year lol..... TC worked well.
Cold, too much traffic, red mist.... came home for feel good food and warmth.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Well the weather gods held the rain if till 2pm today (has been raining almost constantly since I got home) and I met up with a bunch of guys I worked with on the RAAF Base when I first moved to Aussie.
Heading out to a pub on the river for lunch, unfortunately encountered a bike accident on our way there. Fire/Rescue and Ambo’s already on scene. Bike was pretty rooted.
Then back the long way via a barely used road that follows the river for a while, so decided it was safe enough to get up it (Thruxton) and enjoyed listen to the Vance and Hines song echoing off the sandstone cliffs.
One of the guys had a RS250 in amazing condition and I purposely rode behind him to soak up the synthetic 2 stroke oil smell for a while
Heavens unloaded about 10 km from home ans got saturated, but still an enjoyable day out.

Wheeled the MV out of the garage for a once over. The battery was totally flat so it's been on a charge for a few hours. I'll charge it up again tomorrow to make sure it's full.

Put it on charge and took the plank (seat) off to send out for re-padding and trimming.
Just need some minor details from the trimmer like cost and how he wants payment.

Washed the Scrambler yesterday and left it to dry overnight. Put my new Abba stand together and lifted both wheels off the floor.
Sprayed it with ACF-50 this morning.

Saturday I took myself out for a good run, needed it, not been on the bike for ages. It was mainly dry and not too cold. The roads just dont seem to dry out like they used to anymore, so took advantage while I could.

I was going to fit my new Evotech stubby levers to the Scrambler. But the UPS delivery hasn't turned up it happens with the FedEx delivery man too. We're out in the sticks and I think they only come out to us if they can be bothered.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Not today but this year… I kept a log because I promised myself I would ride a lot more in 2021.
Then lockdowns, quarantining, long trips away from home, large speeding fine & licence suspension appeals, La Niña weather patterns and well life.
I did 685 km in total on both bikes. I deserve a flogging
EDIT: forgot to log the 34 km I did on the GB400TT when I rode it into town for the guy that bought it to look at it.. so 719 km

There's no such thing as spending enough time riding your bikes.

Fack all, the seat is still off being re-padded and re-covered.
The guy has had one hell of a rough time the last few weeks so I'm not upset, he's kept his customers informed and that seems to be a rare thing.

Raise it with Evotech. Their customer support is usually excellent. Hopefully they'll have a word with the courier. If the courier is being crap Evotech could threaten to look elsewhere
