The Giulietta is the nicer looking car of the two....it has "presence".

I think only VW Audi make a 5 cylinder engine now. It makes a cracking noise.

I don't know about brand new cars but I know the Alfa 159 came with a 5 cylinder 2.4 diesel. They sound lovely but are pretty crap on fuel and my 150ps Seat is actually quicker to 60

First of all met er indoors at ‘we buy and car’ after getting an unbelievable price on 62 plate corsa , then off to Swindon to see a Kia Ceed sportswagon, which she eventually bought after a bit of haggling, cracking car for the money.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I called in to my local J&S and came out with some visor cleaner and a Frank Thomas mesh jacket, it's CE certified and likely to not see much use so I thought it was a bargain at £90.
Then popped up to see an Alfa Giulietta 1.4TA Veloce with the pop up nav screen and heated seats, both items on my "nice to have" list.
On startup it rattled and misfired for a few seconds then settled to a smooth idle, sounded like tappet rattle. I don't think that's normal but am still learning about these engines.
The drivers heated seat didn't get warm although the light in the button worked so power was getting that far.
And the pop up screen turned green when I revved the engine to about 3K, then black, then back to normal.
Other than that the car was clean and had no visible body damage or rust, even under the bonnet...
I have to say that the interior was a really nice place to be, everything worked except that screen and aside from some flakey paint on the wheels the exterior was pristine after 108K miles. I'm tempted despite the nav screen and butt warmer... But don't want to buy an engine that's about to become a money pit.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I'd be thinking long & hard over buying any car with over 100K on the clock. I'd be thinking even longer & even harder if it was an Alfa...but that's maybe just me.
It's not just the miles it's done, it's how many does it have left??

Re: What are you doing today ??
I like a challenge, and they are a really good car if you find a looked after example.... Unlike Peugeot, F*** Peugeot, my dad has one and it's permanently broken no matter how much I replace. I have bought 2 good quality code readers and neither of them will talk to it..

"Challenge accepted!"

Recovering from a poor beer related decision last night, and it's raining anyway...
Will probably get the bike out tomorrow.

Down in town getting new tyres and rims fitted to the 4WD. Bloody freezing, only 7 deg C. About the only thing I miss about work is the tropical weather.
Really weird being out and about. Been shielded from all the COVID restrictions that most people have accepted as day to day life now. In the last 12 weeks I’ve only had 3 days I’ve actually been able to be out in public with work, quarantine and self isolation at home requirements.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Working. I'm at a bit of a stalemate with my projects so I'm doing all the horrible niggly bits of work for now. I'm finding it very difficult to remember that I'm Production now and not Design - I keep very nearly stepping on the designers toes.
I did take 10 minutes to order the things I've ran out of (yes.. detailing stuff) and I also did a quick photo edit for a friend. I forgot how much I enjoy editing.
