A good news insurance story for once

Post by T.C. »

I have both our cars (Mine and the wife's) insured with Admiral on a multi policy.

I pay less for 2 cars than some other insurers quote for just one, so I am more than happy with the premium I pay.

This morning, got an email from Admiral to say that due to the reduction in traffic currentlyon the roads, this has led to a massive reduction in claims, and to that end policy holders will receive a £25 refund for each vehicle that is on risk..

My immediate thought was, this is a scam despite the address looking legit.

So I called them and yes, it is true.

Refunds will be paid out over the next couple of weeks.

Personally, I would have been happy for them to just reduce next years premium but any refund by an insurer withiut asking is a result in my book.

So thank you to Admiral. Nice to see that some insurers have a few morals still (clap)

Admiral are paying out £110 million in refunds, it seems.
Collectively, US ins. companies are refunding over a billion $$$$ if I'm remembering the news item correctly.
