Haha.. I did think of Kwacky when I wrote that
Honestly, unless it was on circuit I don't think I would borrow someone else's bike, it's far too risky on the road.

Cav, I do agree but to experience silly speeds a few times is great. To feel 170mph wind is a buzz for a while. However it doesn’t mean anything as anyone can twist the throttle hard.If being a fast rider was all about the speed of the bike, watching racing would be boring.
Getting a bike around a corner as quickly as possible however is a different buzz altogether and has very little to do with the power of the bike. I’m sure we have all been passed by a rider with much less bhp than us and wondered how the **** he did that.

I got my arse handed to me by a kid on a KTM 390 around Anglesey. He did have race slicks on though, and the **** probably only weighed about 10 pounds!

Duke I agree with all of that except I've not personally been passed by a smaller bike (probably because I'm on a 600 and also the Ninja400 WSBK rider was half the track behind me in Portugal). I was barely 2 seconds faster than him and he was down 60bhp from me 0_0
I dare say, any UK track and that kid would have been quicker than me

This is the kid at Portimao when I was there
He barely braked into Turn 1 and got elbow down at probably 120mph - insanely talented !!!

I enjoy my riding and I know in the scheme of things I am a long way from being fast, but as long as I am learning and improving that is where I get my kicks.

Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.
