Monty's Welsh Mystery Tour - Sat 10th August
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7392" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I've put this route together based around some of the roads we did last weekend but starting and ending Crossgates. It's basically 142 miles of never-ending bends and it's absolutely stunning.
Possibly one of the best days I've ever had on a bike.
Let's try and get some dates in the diary over the summer.

It's a long way for most of us, but it doesn't have to be an early start. What time does everyone want to meet up? 11/12ish would suit me.

Midday meet then means its late home for everyone who's travelled a fair distance..Monty wrote:It's a long way for most of us, but it doesn't have to be an early start. What time does everyone want to meet up? 11/12ish would suit me.
Just a thought.

True, I don't mind either way. I might go down the night before and stay over on Saturday night, we've got a little cottage 40 minutes away.
I was planning on offering to put everyone up, but my sister and family are there that weekend.

I'm good with either the, earlier might be a bit better as it is a fair ride back.Monty wrote:It's a long way for most of us, but it doesn't have to be an early start. What time does everyone want to meet up? 11/12ish would suit me.

I will let you know, my work rota doesn't go quite that far at the moment but I should be available, and the new brakes "Should" be here before then...
Google maps says 3-4 hours each way..

I'm out. I'm not physically fit enough for a day on the bike.

It's not looking good, 71% chance of rain and they've issued a weather warning for wind.

Well, that sucks. Without wanting to sound like a fair weather biker (which I absolutely am!), I'm not sure I fancy riding all day in that.

I don't mind the odd bit of drizzle, but really not a fan of horizontal rain.
I would suggest the following weekend, but that's looking sh!t too.
