Re: New TV
Haha tell the kids
I bought a 49" one last year thinking that was big enough, but they are all telling me it's too small so it's being relegated to the kitchen apparently.

Re: New TV
bloody kids!! I grew up on 10-12 inch telly screens and 1 old black and white telly they will never know the struggles!!
My partners brother has a huge telly as well 4k flat screen and he assures me when he plays his PS4 Pro it is excellent so sure you kids will love playing their games on something as big as a cinema screen as well!
Looks like you get 200quid back which makes it a reasonable price for a high spec telly. Might be a good shout
However you could pop to PC World they have a huge selection there and could pick something as high quality as that for maybe cheaper

You don't know struggles unless you've had to re-wind a cassette tape by hand and then listen to music change speeds because you got the tension all wrong... youngesters.. pffffD41 wrote:Rossgo wrote: bloody kids!! Remember: If in Doubt use Full Throttle, It may not make the situation any better, But it will end the suspense...

Re: New TV
Smart money says Ross has never even seen a record player.
And yes....I remember sitting with me Decca radio/cassette player, finger poised over the pause button, 'cos hitting the Play/Record buttons at the same time was a bit of an iffy proposition.

Re: New TV
I see your tapes and raise you some 8 tracks!
Clearing a flat from a tenant that did a runner they were the only interesting things left behind. Sadly not much value in them yet!- D41

yeah sorry dude, bit of a thread hijack!Blade wrote:So I need to buy a 4k cassette deck with high speed dubbing is the general consensus
Your TV getting relegated to the kitchen is as big and newer than the TV I have, so I'm of no use at all.
