Sick tw@
What will our courts give this young man you think then?
Boys want to be men then I say treat him like a man. Is this getting out of control?

Re: Sick tw@
The Press should take a large chunk of responsibility. The moment they started telling the world that people were using acid in attacks the number of acid attacks shot up. It was the same with moped thefts and it was the same with knife attacks - kids thought "oh shit, everyones got a knife, I best get one".

The fact that we don't have policing on the streets anymore doesn't help. When was the last time you saw a Bobby?

Re: Sick tw@
Nope. You don't blame the Police, & you don't blame the press.....they didn't attack anyone. You start doing that & you're heading straight down the path of oppression & suppression, and HIGHER - not lower, crime rates. There will ALWAYS be copycat crime, and whether it's with a bottle of acid, a knife, or other weapon, word will get around regardless.....they're just a means to an end.

Re: Sick tw@
So if you tell the public that police numbers are significantly reduced the crime rate won't change?
Got it.
Got it.

OK. About how many Police per capita are there in the UK? I'm guessing around a 1:100 ratio??

Re: Sick tw@
I blame the courts and sentencing structure. I've known blokes who literally don't care, they will break in a door and Rob the house, they will smash a window and Nick the car, if they get caught what's the worst that will happen, a few months inside with their mates and then back out again, in their own words. Seriously bring back real sentences and real punishments and it will help. Communities don't do anything because they dont want to be nicked even if they know the people are scum. It's messed up and needs sorting out.

Vatican City has 15 police for every 100 people
It's like they're trying to hide something.

Re: Sick tw@
Me and Aimee were there a couple years back and a bloke robbed someone. The tourist realised they were robbed and I kid you not all of a sudden the old bill were all over him, took a little while as he was clearly fit and very bloody strong he was literally smashing into people running like a bull at a red flag so they used their car and he got knocked over they nicked him there and then within minutes. Come back to Britain and blokes have angle grinders on them in board daylight nicking paniglaes!Kwacky wrote:Vatican City has 15 police for every 100 people

Re: Sick tw@
I was talking to a serving police officer last night.
He said if the public knew the truth about how much serious and minor crime is going on unpunished and how little resources the police have to deal with it, then there would be a major outcry. Sadly the Press and media have other 'news' they would prefer to publish. He reckons most criminals are carrying a knife as a minimum nowadays.

Re: Sick tw@
It's clear that people know there aren't the police numbers to deal with matters. If you take driving as an example, more people are using their phones, driving at excessive speeds and driving without insurance and or a licence. That's ordinary people knowing they can get away with breaking the law. So it's no wonder that criminals feel as if they can get away with what they want.
I can see it kicking off in a few years when the public start to take matters into their own hands.

Re: Sick tw@
To be honest if we see criminals the vast majority of people won't get involved, none of us care enough for our communities anymore, we have neighbours who we can't stand or we have neighbours who we may only say Hi too but don't actually know their name. we consider ourselves safe if we don't get involved.
I can't see us taking control, and guaranteed people would throw their the hooligans of the country at these people if we did
No, it will always be criminal versus victim, public will watch on yelping in shock and we will always moan. We have more people than ever in this country and we just build more houses, we have created this situation, more people more crime
