Called in at CMC Clay cross whilst i was out for a gander at a few bikes looking for a replacement for the 950 ... Still can't decide on which type of bike though , my heart says a large CC naked , my head says adventure style bike

The 999 is on the paddock stands at the minute, taken the wheels off as I’ve sold them in a deal with a guy who is giving me some OEM black ones, also swapped the shocks over and put the Ohlins back on the bike, been serviced and had the spring powder coated. He’s buying the maxton shock that I have taken off as well.
Swapped the bodywork to road fairings, give it a bit of a clean in it’s stripped down state, get the new wheels on this week then hopefully sell it.

We aren't bothered with marriage but she does want a commitment ring, if I were too then it would a a nice one but to be honest I've left it late saving for something...its only been hinted at since we booked our holiday away to Mexico (March) for our 10 year. Whoops!! If I save now then maybe I'll be able to pick something up for just before we leave in Jan lol

Just a quick wash for the Versys but I gave the chain a good scrub and lube.

There was a massive tailback this morning up to the motorway. From one roundabout to the next.

Proper cold on the ride home tonight.
They reckon it'll be frosty in the morning. Thankfully Ive got to take the car into work in the morning.

Fairly warm around here at 11 degrees. I wore my thermals and I was sweating by the time I got to work tonight

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Took myself out again this afternoon for a little hoon and cake.... Up to Wantage for some cake then the nice road to Newbury, bit of a loop. Got a tad cold towards the end, did the last bit on the M4, (needed to get home quick) bloody hell it was scary, these drivers sit so close to each other, its not surprising there are so many bumps out there!!!
Roads were really muddy, you know when it builds up in the middle, made for road positioning a little difficult, especially as the bike does not enjoy it lol.
hence the larger main roads for the trip back, tyres really are not right for this time of the year.

Yesterday after work I had an hour and half kip and then fitted my mates heated grips. Was a bit of a PITA as all the wires are hard to hide so kinda gave up in the end!! They are fitted my mate is happy and they work! They will be a kind relief to him through this weather im sure

Fitted the replacement optimate lead and out the battery on charge. Hopefully it won't die with the cold weather and lack of use.

An oil service, polish and general check over on the 690.... Removed the battery on the 950 and charged it, which I'll now leave indoors until the weather improves.
