Stupid people showing off
Can't help thing that surely the prequisite of buying any of these cars is that you learn how to drive them first.

Re: Stupid people showing off
I know if you buy the top of the lie AMG stuff, c63s etc they insist on you going to their testing facility (all expenses paid in their cars) to learn how to control them so that this sorta thing hopefully doesn't happen

I think it should be separate test for cars over a certain power to weight. It is on bikes for goodness sake.

Re: Stupid people showing off
I had this argument with someone before, there reasoning was it is, via the insurance to which I agreed, but what stops MR 23 year old footballer going out and buying and insuring a maclaren p1 and promptly sticking It in the front room of an elderly person.C00kiemonster wrote:I think it should be separate test for cars over a certain power to weight. Re: Stupid people showing off
But if a footballer gets paid £10k a week (which is a very low estimate) then surely he doesn't care if he's got to pay £10k insurance?

Re: Stupid people showing off
thast what I'm getting at, sorry I didn't make my point clear, his argument was insurance puts people off/tiers it etc, mine was exactly what you are saying, that some people will not care about money and do it anyway and those are the people that will cause the issues.
Sorry I didn't explain myself very well.

All the dosh, none of the brains, the GT-R bit made me laugh, I’ve seen a white Skyline disappear off a road through sheer dumbassery in Jamaica one night on a holiday years ago, our driver didn’t even lift off, just laughed at the twats.

Re: Stupid people showing off
I think with bikes more than anything else, they're bought mainly for performance that will be used.....with high-end cars there's more of an image-thing going on, with the occasional "Let's see what this thing will really doooooooooo.......:!!#!? Fcuk!!" thrown in.

I'd bet most of these crashed are down to "Wonder what it's like if I turn this off?"

Re: Stupid people showing off
Some.of those endangered other peoples lives, defo should be a different driving Test and should be made to test the cars in controlled conditions before driving off the sales show room

Re: Stupid people showing off
I think you should add these stupid people who buy large cars in general, they have no idea how to drive them, keep them between the lines or even on the right side of the road.
