Trying to tell a consultant neuroradiologist how to do her job.
I suspect I won't get very far. I can't pronounce half of the words in the report. All we're talking about are closely related haemorrhagic contusions in the left parietal region with small focal areas of increased density in the subcortical white matter with no surrounding oedema. It's a merely a bruise.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I've not laughed as hard as I did last night in a very long time..
Driving home from Gloucester Town Centre, after an hour long downpour most of the roads were flooded. I was driving past another car through a flooded bit of road with 10ft waves on both sides of my car, one of which went clean over the top of the other car. However, as I was leaving the 'puddle' the wave reduced in height completely covering the other car.
The driver glared at me - it was at this point I realised his window was open a couple of inches. He was drenched !!
It was difficult enough to see anyway but I found it even harder to see through my tears !!!

Got woken up early by my work phone ringing, so had to drive halfway across the country to push a plug back into an ecu. I am not a happy bunny right now.

£1 for putting it right, & £1000 for knowing what to do.Deegee wrote:Got woken up early by my work phone ringing, so had to drive halfway across the country to push a plug back into an ecu. I am not a happy bunny right now.
Presumably whether it's a collapsed output bearing on a gearbox, or a loose plug on an ECU, if the owner/operator is unable to correct it themselves they pay the premium for their lack of knowledge.?
Having said that, I can understand how you would nonetheless feel it was an unsatisfying use of your expertise.

It is frustrating, but they do end up paying for their cutting corners on personnel. Today's economy I'd guess.

Had he's seeing it like that mate, most people would react very badly to it including myself!

That's a long 12 weeks.
This week I'm getting ready to move teams. It doesn't happen until the 22nd August but I'm on holiday next week.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I'm haggaling with a car sales man, very nearly at the point of pulling the trigger but he needs to sweeten the pot a little more, but I need to get rid of my current car, the 26mpg is killing me now, worked it out and I have done £269 in petrol through July in the car, and it don't even get used everyday as if its nice ive been using the bike...
edit....
The haggling over and the deal has been done, its not glamorous or exciting but I now own a 66 plate 1.6 Seat Leon.
