Unfortunately its all about maximum profit ( for the developers) for minimum outlay which means fitters are given a set number to do in a certain time span. meaning corners are cut if they want to be paid.

Alot of the sub contractors tell me this bunch of bellends are not too bad.

A couple of other national developers they claim are much worse.

It's stressful and time consuming as you genuinely have to watch over them but when we get there it will be lovely home.

I've had the regional construction and sales directors both round for a brew and chat and after talking to these senior boys alot of issues will hopefully be dealt with.

Was funny yesterday. We were all sat round my kitchen table and the site manager was challenging me on quite a few points. His boss the construction director put him in his place and said just do what Steve is asking. He's being reasonable, it's out mistake, get it sorted no questions asked.

You have to stand your ground otherwise they'll brush you to one side.

I'll be dealing with the local VW dealers as the engine management light is on in my company vehicle, I've dealt with them before and found them useless as a main dealer.

I think I already know where today's stress quotient will be.

In our previous home when i removed the bath panel for the first time, i found that rather than cut the floor board for the pipes to pass through, they had used a hammer to bash a hole through it to save time.

My daughter is away for the weekend doing her DoE.

My son might be stopping at a mate's house, if so we're going out for a meal and a few pints.

Fitted the motor mover to the caravan this morning, what a cool toy (for a caravan anyway) can park it with remote control now rather than the stress of reversing

Went to Snetterton and watched some very expensive and very rare cars get thrashed round a track, oh and we lusted after some exotica in the car park as well, MiniGees highlight was having a totally unsupervised sit in the new DB11 for as long as he wanted - mine was seeing the car below in the car park, it's a real one btw. We all had a very good day. 8)

We've been exploring all the local pubs so today it's the Grapes for a nice roast and few jars.

Missus doesn't know yet but we might be trying the Cheshire Cheese and Queen of Adielade on the way home :P

As a added bonus these is a well dressing parade with brass bands playing why we enjoy the beers.

Seems a very nice area

I've seen the kit versions and one of the "Continuation" models, but that's only the second time I've seen the genuine article up close.
Sadly I didn't see it start up and drive away - we were watching a race featuring a Broadspeed Ford Capri, 2 x Cologne Capris, a 302 Boss Mustang, a handful of BMW M3 E30's, another handful of Rover SD1's and Metro turbo's and a lonely little Renault 5 Turbo. I got the feeling that a large part of the Goodwood brigade just carried on and brought the party to Norfolk the next weekend. (d) o/ 8)

I'll bet that's a thrill a minute. My sympathies.

Not sure just what I'm up to today.....weather is still stiflingly hot. I think the best I'll prolly come up with is laundry & cleaning......how frickin' "Hollywood" is that??
