Re: D6Nutz's next bike
I've travelled 200 miles for the right machine before Nutz.
Book a cheap 1 way train ticket. Enjoy a few hours chilling on the train with a film and a little pack of goodies and then have an epic ride home.
See it as a nice day out rather that a big chore is my advice

No, after a bit of thought I don't think it's worth part-ex-ing. It's on eBay now and I've already had 2 messages asking for a cash price.Blade wrote:Have you had a px price for the RSV ?
Much as I hate eBay I think it's going to be the way forward.

Re: D6Nutz's next bike
Surprising amount of interest in the RSV and might have provisionally sold it
Also spoken to the owner of the KTM I posted... May be cancelling the test ride tomorrow in favour of going to see the KTM on monday..

Re: D6Nutz's next bike
Took a test ride on the new blade, interesting. Its a fair few pennies. Nice and smooth delivery on the throttle, easy to deliver over and above the speed limit. Change the mode on the move, is good.
Im running my grey matter over the purchase of the SP. The part exchange pricing is crap.
Lets see what develops.

Cancelled the test ride this afternoon and messaged the KTM guy. Guess what I'm doing on Monday...

That has to be the quickest and most straight forward bike sale and purchase I've ever known .
Glad it's worked out and enjoy the thunder from those Akrpaovic cans

Haven't yet done the deal on the KTM, but if it rides well then it's a no brainer...Blade wrote:That has to be the quickest and most straight forward bike sale and purchase I've ever known .

The KTM looks good. Knock the cost of a new set of tyres off the price and you are away.

Re: D6Nutz's next bike
So how did it go today ????
Well I'm currently a grand lighter and looking to relieve myself of a further 4100 tomorrow evening
The bike had me grinning like a lunatic at the first corner, shut the throttle off and the overrun is awesome. That was the thing I was going to miss most from the RSV, but the duke has buckets of burbles and pops
The front felt a little crap in the slow stuff, but the tyre pressures where well down and the tyre it's self is a few years old so that may be the first mod. Apart from that when on the move it its light a nimble goes like stink and stops just as well.
A couple of bonus treats thrown in. A rear seat cover to make it look a bit more like a single seater, and an abba stand complete with fittings for the 990. Just spoken to the guy, will be making a bank transfer shortly and picking it up tomorrow.
Now, how much did that wheelie school cost
