Also, the more eagle eyed among you may have noticed the cockpit is different.
Ever since I got the bike the silver speedo surround has bugged me.
With nothing but a BBQ to sort out at lunch my day was free, so I decided to whip it off and give it a spray with Halfords cheapest.
Which I ran out of halfway through!
Luckily, Halfords was still open, so a quick dash up through M54 saw me getting a new can and rushing home.
Unfortunately for me, that rushing didn't stop. Despite having all the time in the world I couldn't wait to let the coats dry. Consequently, the finish isn't perfect... But for now, it'll do. That simple thing really improves the cockpit, IMO.
I'd think about changing the orange glass too but that's all part of the speedo unit. I'm not about to start taking that apart!

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Yesterday managed to get out with the IAM guys for a 100 miles blast. Great ride up to Loomies taking in some different roads, which I may have to see if I can remember which way to brand this could turn into a more regular route as it was fantastic. However I as I have not been out as much as usual lately, I feel ots had a knock on effect on my skill and ability, there was a few times where I comfort broke before corners (for no reason) and I missed a couple of overtaking opportunities. Plan. Do more riding!!

Went for an early evening ride around the Cotswolds, engine breathing in cool air and quiet roads.
Looking forward to getting the suspension set up as the rear feels a bit stiff on bumpy roads

TBH Perks with the KA040 the damping is what your given by Kawasaki / Ohlins. Without changing the spring which I know your happy with setting the sag is not really going to change things on bumpy roads.
Just keep it pinned and enjoy the lively ride

I have a similar silver finish around my head lights that I'm considering spraying black.Itchy wrote:Also, the more eagle eyed among you may have noticed the cockpit is different.

Fitted a TripleTek tail tidy and a smaller number plate. 1 inch makes all the difference...

That looks better.
Spraying the speedo surround was easy enough, I can't imagine you'd have any problems doing it.
Your bars are silver as well, aren't they?

For now. I have a black set of fatbars, just waiting for moorespeed racing to pull their fingers out and send me the parcel of bling I ordered 2 weeks ago. It contains some Rizoma shiny shiny too, which is what they were waiting for.Itchy wrote:That looks better.

Ride into work, dealing with the usual dickheads lane drifting because they're on their phones.

Finished early. Came home. Washed it. The heavens opening. I got soaked. Adjusted the chain. No idea quite why it stretched so much whilst we were away.
