Re: Work
Glad you have an outcome and a solid direction you can work towards now.
And never be sorry to rant, better than letting it build up, even if no one has helpful advice it’s usually better to let it out.
Good luck with the job hunt... but plenty of time to get that bike sorted now.

Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.

Re: Work
My review went badly. I've been told there's no chance of me having my own caseload in the near future. We're now having a restructure following our sale.

Re: Work
A mental breakdown if the review meeting was anything to go by
I dunno. I've got a meeting with the section boss on the 17th of Feb.

There will be lots of people protecting their own roles and workload to justify their existence if its anything like my experiences in these circumstances.Kwacky wrote:My review went badly. Play a clever game imo.

Re: Work
Cav, so glad this has a conclusion, now time for a fresh new beginning.
Job market will get more buoyant now the country as a whole is entering a new phase. And they will be looking for fresh new talent they can mould and exploit all at the same time!
If my industry is anything to go by, the brakes have been on a lot of projects, due to uncertainty, but now things are moving a bit more, they have to. This industry can be quite a yard stick for a lot of things in the commercial world.
Kwacky, these fcuk wits obviously don't know what they have, get out look for something else where they will respect your hard work and commitment.......they have taken the piss for too long, they have shown their true colours.....sod em!
For me, it's bloody non stop, however my area is to be cut down, looks like they are taking another person on board.
So the West Country is likely to go, less driving hours on end, on the upside, no more Fistral beach on the downside lol.
But I had an important meeting today with a new client to me, which will generate loads more work to make up for it lol....ah the Yin and the yang of life.
Means my target will end up going up not down, even though my area will shrink lmao....cheeky feckers..
On the plus side I am still loving my new wheels, feel like a boy racer all over again, burning everything off at the lights lmao..... on the down side, I have been in the wars, and my back has been real sore now for weeks I will be making some calls tomorrow to get it seen to.

Re: Work
Thanks, Frankie! I'm excited for the future
I agree with you on the Kwacky situation but I don't know the full story to really properly agree.
Good luck with your meeting today, Frankie ! Oh the irony of making yourself more busy and making larger targets! haha

Re: Work
@Frankie. Good luck with the new client meeting hope you secure the deal.
What's the new motor mate, sounds fun
Ps dont leave that back mate. Go see a good physio they can make a difference. I was seeing a crap one who was just going through the motions with no improvement. I changed Phyiso and the new one I saw for the first time yesterday and immediately 100% better and I'm much more positive for a successful outcome.
