Have the same tyres mate and today was definitely a good day to go out and remind myself what they can doduke63 wrote:Took the 748 out for the afternoon. Round Sutton Maddock, out to Newport and home.
The new Pirelli Rosso Corsas are now properly scrubbed in and work really well on the bike. Quicker steering and more linear turn than the Dunlops.
Forgotten just how good that bike is to ride on a warm sunny afternoon.
What did you do to your bike today ??

Fitted the Tom Tom onto the Bike but spent far too long trying to route the cable so it doesn't get melted!
And also took the tax disk off the frame and put back a couple of bits on to the bikes (nothing special just personal taste stuff!)
Pic off the Tom Tom

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
What I did today... Cleaned the bike.... Took the bike off the paddock stand... Leant the bike over on its own stand.... Then CRASH............
Dam slab disintegrated and a small void below the broken part of the slab..... stand went right through and bike ended up on its side...
Just marvellous.. only put them dam crash bungs in last week....at 65 quid a pair I now need another set as the don't come in singles....
Oh and on top of that the dam foot peg snapped in half whilst mate on route to me for a ride out (hes coming 40 miles)... Ended up jamming on som alloy pipe to the bit that was left and cable tie it on so don't slip off.. Mcguyvor eat your heart out...

Had a little ride out and gave the bike a really good clean.... It was really nice to get without layers of clober, and for the first time this year summer gloves were worn

Swore and shouted a lot as I tried to strip my brakes to give them a going over only to find 1 outta the 4 caliper bolts has completely seized and is not coming off, the Allan key bites but when I tried to turn it it started to Round off so don't wanna push my luck too much, gunna wait till I get replacement one through before butchering it to get it off as it's deffo not coming off in a state that will allow it to be refitted

The weather forecasts for today said it was going to rain all day. So I took the winter lining out of my jacket, otherwise I would be sweating with the rain suit on top.
It didn't rain. I didn't wear my water proofs. I got cold.

I was going to make a rude comment about that but it's before the 9pm watershed.
I've got my waterproofs ready.

I'm so glad I washed my bike yesterday. We had one of those rain storms with dust in it during the day so my bike is filthy again.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Ordered some new mirrors. The old ones were a bit tatty. I'm going to spruce up the bike over the summer. There's not much wrong with it but if I'm going to be commuting on it I want to make sure it's fit enough to face the great British weather.
