Flying home from Budapest. It's a beautiful city, highly recommended.

So....what did you like the most about it, and what didn't you like, if anything??

Re: What are you doing today ??
There's a huge range of buildings here. It's nice to see a city look after it's history. There's a lot of building and renovating going on. The joys of benefiting from EU membership. Some of the museums give discounts to EU citizens.
It's not as cheap as it used to be. There's a lot of rich Chinese about so I'm guessing the influx of money has pushed up prices. It's also a big tourist trap as well so that's another reason for high prices. You can get a beer for 790hf in some areas but it's usual 1,990 to 2,600 the closer you get to the river. £1 = 450hf.
The locals are neither rude nor polite. Don't expect a thank you unless you're a paying customer. Queuing is optional and there's no such thing as personal space.
There's loads to see and do. I would go back.

Getting used to normal peoples hours for my week and a bit off, even did a lunch time shopping trip which was a mistake, my peripheral vision got a workout negotiating the isles of ALDI at lunch time... They actually opened a 3rd till

Spring cleaning in preparation for our friends (and Benny's Godparents) staying over next weekend.
Then I've got to get the mountain bike ready for a day at the trails tomorrow in Longleat

Re: What are you doing today ??
Surfing for car insurance since Hastings sent me this...
That's just mad...
Then I have to call datatool as my black GS had one of their trackers and they cancelled the contract when the bike was dismantled, but they've charged me for another year anyway
And then, try to get the hot water back on, boiler is on the blink, hopefully just a pressure issue as that's easy enough.
And then, wash the bike after 4 days in Scotland, we got rained on for 3 days so not many pics of the trip.

Everyone's premiums have skyrocketed.. The insurance companies have all those cars at Luton Airport to fork out for, and so we've all got to pay for that don't we !

Re: What are you doing today ??
Fwiw I was laid out flat, I thought with flu, came on late last Sunday evening.
Monday morning I could hardly stand up. Covid test negative.
Tuesday I was already feeling somewhat better.
Wednesday it was but a memory.!
I asked around and quite a number of people I interact with have also had it, all with a similar short impact.
Fingers crossed yours is similarly short lived Kwacky.

It was a sore throat yesterday. Today is the headache and runny nose. Fairly standard cold stuff.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Rang Hastings and told them about the cheapest quote I had from Compare the market and they beat it by a penny, with a lower excess so I renewed with them.
Then I called Scorpion / Datatool and they confirmed that my subscription was cancelled last year and issued a refund receipt immediately, but the money can take up to 10 working days but at least it's on the way.
Then nipped out in to the garage and made a horn adapter lead, I have a cheap FIAMM low tone in the garage so I have given it to a friend but it needed an adapter to the BMW plug for his bike.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I'm out cycling. I'm taking a break...I left later than I planned & it's a bit warmish.
12 miles down, 8 to go.
I'm planning on ice cream when I get home.
