Mate, I have never had a 9-5 job but I certainly don't feel like I'm winning at life by any stretch. We do what we need too in life to survive and provide.

Like you I guess I just hope my kids do something that makes them happy, if that's 9-5 you haven't failed.

Cheer up Kwacky, I do some horrific hours in my job and whilst I have days I'd rather be fighting my way through a barrel of snarling cats, overall it's interesting, it takes me places I'd never go and I meet some really good people (and my share of A holes), the only part of it I find hard is the M25 - at any time tbh, it really takes the shine off. At least you can ride to work, keep your family dry, warm and fed and can nip down the pub at the weekend, there's always pluses to be found.

Setting up SIP for a new client, across three US sites.

Fun times.

Oh, and looking at women on a dating site, which is rapidly becoming an eternally depressing pastime. :(

Won't it be quicker and cheaper to buy one from Eastern Europe?

I can recommend the ladies of Ukraine.

No need to apologise.

I've steered clear of his stuff so I don't know the Estonia references.

Fwiw, I really don't think you're like him.

You make jokes, he makes an entire half of the species worried.

I've given up trying to do that. 6 months into the contract and they still can't find work for me to do. The Dev manager knows I'm looking, but I told him today that I'm going to start training courses in their time if they can't find some work for me.

I've never known a company like it.

That's crazy. And they are still paying you by the day etc?
