Sadly yes, unless it's local or has some other level of significance to it, a shooting here is not much more notable/newsworthy than a wreck on the freeway.

It's all over the news this morning though, big time.

Also, I was mistaken earlier when I wrote that this shooting was the result of criminal activity close to the parade.
It wasn't....that was LAST YEAR'S Superbowl parade shooting. (facepalm)

And in fun former president-type news....Donald Trump has been fined over $350 million for civil fraud, among other things, and most of all just being a general all-round douchebag. Apparently the actual fine with pre-trial interest (whatever that is) tags another $100M onto the bill.
He can appeal, but from what I can gather, he has to deposit the amount of the fine as a security before the appeal can be made.

It's good to see the far right get a kicking in the French elections.

I presume the results mean Macron has to step down?
