So are you playing it by ear to see what's happening with work or looking for another job?

Hanging in for the redundancy, will be a healthy 6 figures after tax so at this late stage it’s well worth hanging in for. Although constantly moving goal posts is frustrating, the short term pain will be worth it, in being able to have a bit of a break post offshore and look for a job at my leisure rather than taking the first thing that is offered.
I did miss the boat on the distillery opportunity though which was a bit of a blow. My mate has started a new label and bought in with a boutique restaurant chain owner and setting up in an old brick works about 40 mins from home. Will be a great little area and setup. I just didn’t have the capital or time to be involved when it all happened.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Had a nice trip out in the cage to see a better cage, it's a very safe car, a fully loaded Volvo V40 but an early mk2, for the less efficient but much nicer driving and sounding 5 cylinder diesel (more low down torque, as a diesel should have)... And the automatic gearbox which I didn't think that I would like but it's won me over.
Should have it in a few days.

Dropped the cage off for it's mot. It's 18 years old with 99k on the clock, the question is not will it pass but more how expensive will the failure be to fix.

At least it isn't an MX5, then you know you've got £200 of welding to endure.

The Alfa GTV I had crushes that..
It was an average £1000 to pass the MOT each year for the last couple of years I had it. It was either suspension bushes or the cam belt, both of which were painful to replace.

Been for a drive in the Volvo, it's pretty nice compared to my old banger. I called in to see if there was any update on the remap for the bike and so far there isn't, so I called in to pick up some new headphones on the way home.

It's going to a specialist I used last year, the reckon half the work doesn't need to be done.

Stripped a CNC machine delivery pallet for wood, washed the car (plus chemical decontamination and reapplication of ceramic sealant) and now I'm going to wash the garden down before building our new garden furniture. Can't wait for a beverage on it when I'm done.

Rescaped one of my fish tanks.

Spoken to the Dr, approx 3 week wait for physio appointments meanwhile been prescribed codeine to help with the pain
I remember a load of the exercises from before so when the codeine cloud kicks in I'll start back on them.

Dropped my mother off at hospital for an operation then came home and cut up an older givi topbox, I had a project in mind for that but it's looking like a waste of time and money, it's keeping me occupied though but I might have cooked my Dremel

Re: What are you doing today ??
Trip to A&E this morning at 2am.
Been having shoulder, neck, and arm pain since Sunday. I managed about an hour's sleep last night before the pain became unbearable.
Now have an updated prescription with 3 different painkillers and life is bearable again. Just waiting on physio to send me an appointment.

Took my dad to see mum in hospital after having part of her lung removed thanks to cancer, she's recovering well but there's still excess air being drained so not coming home tomorrow.
Now sat waiting for deliveries.
