Re: Kwacky's next new bike thread
I took the fairings off my SV650S one time and it transformed the bike. The steering felt lighter at lower speed and I was enjoying myself at 50-80mph, not 70-100 like with the fairings on.duke63 wrote:I actually like the fact I can ‘feel the speed’ on the Street.
It's the reason I think a super naked is the best do-it-all road bike. The combination of torque for touring/cruising, the upright position and the lack of fairing for making fun more accessible.

Re: Kwacky's next new bike thread
Spent the afternoon on this thing. I'm starting to get the hang of riding it. For an 800 there's a lot of engine braking and it pulls when you want it. On country roads I could keep it in second and third and barely needed to touch the brakes.
The bike is starting to loosen up. Shifting between first and second using the QS was usually not happening but the majority of the time it's working now.
I need to train my brain to get back into sports mode. The bike mops up everything and gets on with it. Previous sports bikes have felt like they're falling into corners, this almost floats like there's no issue with gravity. It's a bit hard to explain but it feels as natural upright as it does on its ear.

Re: Kwacky's next new bike thread
I'm struggling to get bling for the bike. There's very little for the 2020 SCS version.
Which is a shame because there's some lovely stuff for the earlier models

Some CNC stuff. I like the sprocket cover and some of the engine protection.

Re: Kwacky's next new bike thread
He's a great guy! Super helpful. Unfortunately I've never actually used him but he's still helped me out with information. My shock will be going there for servicing!!

Re: Kwacky's next new bike thread
I'm going to ask him about the steering damper as well. The OEM version is too soft. I'll see if the needle can be replaced.

Yeah absolutely. He'll know for sure.
He only started this business as part of his degree and now he's chief mechanic for a BSB Supersport team.
