Saturday 16th April - POSTPONED
A short trip into Wales, down the A483 then back along the A44. It's not going to be a long ride out, it's more for me to give the ZX6R a run out and to make sure I'm happy with the set up before my track day.
Leave Beckett Farm just off the M42 at 9.30 B47 6AJ
Down the M42 for a couple of junctions, get off at Bromsgrove for Kidderminster
A442 towards Bridgnorth
Church Stretton
Newtown
Crossgates for coffee and cake
A44 back home towards Worcester.

Re: Saturday 16th April, West Mids to Wales
Potentially interested, but I may struggle to get a pass if I'm going out the two previous weekends!
Will play it by ear.

I might do this instead of the 10th as it looks like I have to work that weekend

Re: Saturday 16th April, West Mids to Wales
Operation Darwen started on Good Friday :
"Supt Kirman said: “We will continue to target, with a view to prosecution, all those that ride or drive dangerously, at excess speed, overtake on solid white lines or commit any other road traffic offences. Please heed the warning.”
Amongst the routes that will be routinely patrolled will be the A494 between Dolgellau and Bala, the A525 from Ruthin to Bwlchgwyn, the A525 / A539 Ruabon, Overton and Redbrook, the A5 between Betws-y-Coed and Corwen, the A543 between Denbigh and Pentrefoelas and the A5104/A494 Bryneglwys to Corwen. The route known as the ‘EVO Triangle’ will also be patrolled which incorporates the A483, A5 and the B4501."

Cheers Jack.
To be honest those routes are frequently attended by police because they're so popular.

No it's because Evo magazine made it more famous in its car tests.Blade wrote:EVO Triangle ??????

Just tested the water, it's not looking promising.Kwacky wrote:It won't be a late one, if that helps?
I'll still play it by ear. If the weather plays up on one of the other days I'll look to rearrange. And tread on eggshells around the missus!

Get your self fully recovered first. I don't want any excuses as to why you're not buying me a big slice of cake.

Re: Saturday 16th April, West Mids to Wales
Well I mentioned to Kwacky on Sunday I'd be along for this barring any wife-related incidents.
True to form, she thought it was going to be on a Sunday, and has subsequently booked activities for the Saturday.
I can't rearrange it so I'll have to make the next one.
Arse.

I'm lined up to spend the day with the boy while they go out girly shopping.
If I sulk the day before they may bring us treats back!

Re: Saturday 16th April, West Mids to Wales
Mate she's growing up so fast it wouldn't surprise me.
She's grown 2 inches since Christmas (in height, not boobs!), if she grows another 2 she'll be as tall as my wife.
At 10!!!
Anyhoo, apparently the boy is looking forward to some lad-time with me. Given that we've been at loggerheads recently it's no bad thing to miss out on one rideout if I can make friends with him and be a proper dad.
I'll make sure she fricking knows which days which next time!
