Well, the KISS show was truly exceptional, amazing, etc.....you could throw all the superlatives you want at it, and you still wouldn't do it justice.
But beforehand, I remember thinking "$300 a ticket? I must be losing my mind!"
Had great seats, on the floor, and a couple of us took advantage of a few vacant seats even closer to the stage).
There was fire-breathing, rocket-firing guitars, hydraulic drum risers, "floating" podiums, the singer was zip-lining around above the crowd, explosions, flames shooting up around the stage, giant balloons bouncing around all over the place, a second stage in the middle of the arena, etc.....I've probably missed out a lot, I'm still trying to take it all in.
...As good as I hoped it might be, it blew away all my expectations - and all that from a bunch of guys in their late 60s and early 70s.
I can't for the life of me imagine what they could have done to make that show any better. I am truly impressed.
Best $300 I ever spent on one night of entertainment.
(...not counting hookers in Las Vegas*).
*Allegedly.
