He's ok ish, but the bike (Kwacky's CBR) hasn't faired to well.

Blimey that's some impact completely snapped one of the forks, hope the rider isn't too bad

Where has this come from?

Is that really Hubington's bike?

Whats APP, and yes it's Hub. Not sure he will post on here though for insurance purposes.

Main thing is he's relatively OK, could have been much worse.

He's not posted on here for ages. No idea why he stopped using the site.

Out of interest does he know what the final mileage was on the bike? I think it was around 56,000 when I sold it to him.

Yeah i had a smidge of a bumb/head on collision with both vehicles doing 30mph. Ultimatly I'm going to be ok although i might have a bit more fun at airport security going forwards.

Don't want to say to much just yet about what happened but I was lucky enough no be thrown in open road post collision so I didn't hit the other vehicle and had time tolet the leatchers decelerate me. No body rolls so most bones ok but the inital impact fractured (read snapped clean in 2 converting it into two internal crude jagged bone knives) my clavicle. I got to live wth them for a week then they finally broke the factory seal on the shoulder and installed some metal work.

Still trying to regain use of the arm. Everything south of the elbow is ok but the upper arm is wasting where I dont have much mobility in the shoulder and the back and neck muscels have atrophied from where I had to imobalise the shoulder completely for 3 weeks.

To give you an idea of the impact damage the front wheel stoved in the base of the rad and the downpipes. I've not seen it since bar a few photos but aside from the bodywork missing if you looked at it from the engine back it looks like it was repairable so hope to get some salvage value from it.

To be honest, if the bike has had that much frontal impact i'm pretty sure the insurers will write it off as a total loss. The frame will have taken a big force at the headstock.

My metalwork has yet to set off airport security scanners.

I think it was about 44k miles when you sold me it and I'd got iit up to about 57k, I'll look for the MOT amd see if I can get a more accutate figure for you. Still pulled like they day you sold it to me, well it did anyway. Other than oil & filter only things i had to change on the engine was a new set of sparks that I dont think it needed as when I took the last one out found an ignition coil had expanded which was the cause of my issues. I put in the plugs anyway but it was when I put a new coil in it roared to life again.

Will be missed.

3rd party fire and theft so I expect the wreckage will be mine to do with as I wish.

He left the company and then text me 2 weeks ago saying he saw a smashed bike on the road side thought of me and wanted to see how I'm doing. Had to damn near send him a photo of the surgical scar featuring my face and the bbc news home page before he would belive me I'd crashed my bike too and was a bit messed up.

Do you want to turn it into a track bike? Personally I wouldn't. It was a great bike but I think it's only fit for transplants after the unfortunatness.

Muscle wasting happens incredibly quickly. My arm was the same diameter as my wrist after a few weeks.

Like Duke, my metalwork hasn't trigged anything, so you should be fine

But my arms weren't to far off your wrists before the crash. On the up side shouldn't take me as long to get them back where they were then. Something like 9 months before im in a position to be able to put the same kinds of load through the clavicle. At the momebt even raising the elbow higher than two inches under the nipple could put to much torque through the clavicle and rebreak it.

I'm looking forward to the part of my recovery where I make things better by doing things rather than doing nothing and not going to scrimp on the physiotherapy.
