Micheal Dunlop might not have got on with the new 2015 R1 as a race bike but it doesn't seem to be holding Josh Brookes back.

Where ever he goes he is on record pace and Shakey doesn't seem to have an answer for him at the moment.

Frankly I think Josh Brookes is more talented too tbh.

certainly on a short circuit Brookes has the advantage , I think with a little time he could be as good as Dunlop on the road although I'm not sure that anyone will ever ride with as much commitment on the roads as Dunlop does

True. For me Dunlop rides without enough intelligence and too much commitment. Still 5 billion times better than me though

I don't doubt Brookes talent, I just don't like him, fwiw I think Michael Dunlop has got it fixed in his mind he will die racing and he needs to win as much as he can before it happens, hence his 101% commitment and why his riding is a bit ragged at times. Just my opinion btw.

I think thats a pretty fair analysis, its also what makes him so exciting to watch .

Exactly what I thought watching an interview with him at the years TT. The problem you have of being resigned to an outcome is you can perpetuate your own prediction. But if that is the mindset that works for him so be it, I just hope he doesn't take someone with him when it happens.

Meanwhile I'll enjoy him riding like a lunatic!

Tbh I reckon Dunlop has got a lot smoother in recent years. He still rides it like he stole it and is exciting to watch but I don't think he is anywhere near as reckless as he was only 3 or 4 years ago.

I think the new zx10r for 2016 will make shakey a lot more competitive against the newer R1 but agree Brookes is doing a fantastic job at the moment

I actually watch the last 10 laps of the race Rea clinched the title and about 15 laps of the second race before I nodded off. That's all I've watched this year though. It's only on pay TV here and I don't have it at home, but we do have it in the accommodation out here.

I think that we are spoilt for superbikes , we have the most competitive national series in the world but its attracted a very international following and riders from all over the world , which makes it a domestic world series , if that makes sense .

Your right Jack and it's a great feeder fot the international class. The current sharp end of wsbk is bsb from 6 or 7 years ago.

Great to see the top 4 riders in the wsbk championship are all Brits
