Farewell Daytona 600!
After 7 plus years of ownership...today was the day I pulled the trigger on trading her in.
A trip to Triumph last week with no intention of parting ways didn't go as I planned!
So....whats next? Well even at 30, my back and knees are shot. So it isn't a Daytona 675 as much as I wanted an SE! Dropped the cash on a Street Triple R.
Seems to tick all the boxes.
Am gutted to see the Daytona go, but my head knows this is a good move. Not quite as much of a stunner as the 600...but in Black and Gold it looks pretty damn sweet!
Sorry Spudda! Not many of you left now!

Re: Farewell Daytona 600!
Str's are proving to be a very popular choice Jlawie, judging from the feedback I've seen you should be very pleased with your choice.
You must post a pic' please mate.

Not picking her up till next weekend unfortunately. Fingers crossed for good weather!!Kwacky wrote:Nice choice of bike.
But we do need photos.
Got a few little mods on her already.
Belly pan, tailtidy and front screen.
Apparently the previous owner has the arrow cans too...but I'm trying not to tempt myself!

Don't bother trying. Bikes are made for aftermarket cans!
I remember trading mine in. Awesome happy feeling tinged with sadness and wistful memories.
And then the ride home blows it all away!

My heart saying 'don't sell, you'll regret it'
My head saying 'do it! You've owned the Daytona long enough!'

Re: Farewell Daytona 600!
I do miss mine sometimes, only today I was looking through some old files on the computer and saw some go pro footage and felt a pang of reminiscence.
But then I remember the trouble I was having with it towards the end of our partnership, and compare that to the Z1000 test bike trying to rip my arms from their sockets, and realise I made the right choice.
Nice choice of bike mate, I'm sure you won't regret it. Nice choice of colour too.
