Re: World Politics Stuff (not brexit)
It looks like the left and centre left parties in France are agreeing to a coalition. Four of them have reached an agreement, that will allow them to take power away from Macron. If it works it means Macron has next to no power in the National Assembly.

Re: World Politics Stuff (not brexit)
The fact that one of the chain of people she used to join ISIS has been revealed as ( entirely unbeknown to her) a Canadian agent, is utterly irrelevant imho.Kwacky wrote:https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-62726954

Re: World Politics Stuff (not brexit)
She "was" a child that was groomed and trafficked. She should be allowed back to the UK and made to face any alleged charges in a court. As should Zahwai and the Met Police for their part in this **** up.
The fact that she's clearly a bit of a dick should not be relevant.

Re: World Politics Stuff (not brexit)
A couple of dozen people who joined Isis have been allowed back in the UK. She's been used by this government to prove how tough they are on immigration. Nothing more.
The reason why this information is relevant is the trafficking argument. The court said previously there was no evidence she had been trafficked.

Protesters are on the streets in several Iranian towns and cities. Women are burning hijabs and cutting their hair in the streets.

About bloody time, the suffragettes would be proud of their sisters standing up for common sense and justice in the face of outdated bigotry and perverse practices.Kwacky wrote:Protesters are on the streets in several Iranian towns and cities. Re: World Politics Stuff (not brexit)
It's a shame that they have to resort to this when Iran was so progressive before the religious revolution .
