Re: What are you doing today ??
Processing my latest batch of trainees' results for the Ejection Seat course I've just finished teaching them.
In the 20-odd months I've spent in this job I have not awarded a single laudatory award to anyone for anything. (It's not a requirement to do so, it's just an option available to us as instructors.)
These guys have paid attention to what I've told them, listened to instruction, heeded my words of "wisdom", generally done everything I've asked of them (which is expected), but on top of that all but one of them has gone above and beyond the task set to them for a homework project, and the icing on the cake is that they passed their theory exam with a class average of 92.67%.
That's beaten my previous best average by over 4%.
This is a big deal to me, and my colleagues and superiors.
I felt no shame in awarding my first ever "Good Show" to these boys.

Gaining comprehensive knowledge in a specialist field is always an impressive achievement imho. However being able to effectively dispense your knowledge in an interesting & captivating & effective manner is in a whole different league, it's a gift.!
Good show Itchy.
P.S. Highly transferable skill too.??

Got a massive amount of expert evidence to wade through.
Plus I need to have a conversation with a client about why they've been lying to me. This should be fun.

Taekkwondo grading today.
I'm not feeling very confident. Oh well, let's see what happens.

Re: What are you doing today ??
just got through 2 pages of unread posts on TS, my OCD is now sated and I'm back up to speed on you boring lot
First break in the workload since I've been out here this swing. Hasn't helped that I'm the only Workplace Assessor on night shift, so I've been getting hammered with Competency assessments and Breathing Apparatus refresher training.

Helping to put my Sister back together, so she's strong enough to deal with all the crap involved with ending a marriage. We have made significant progress in 24hrs of restoring her to the strong, confident woman she is normally.
I am not a happy person at the moment with the guy she married.

Wondering how everyone is going to met the 10% increase in our targets if we're not being given a 10% increase in work.
