Might take a run up to Hollywood today...or tomorrow - I haven't quite decided yet.
Perhaps an early morning MTB ride too if I can coax some energy out of these legs & lungs.
Smoking a few ciggies should help with that.../

Having a quiet cuppa before prepping the house as we've got family coming for lunch.

Sorry so late here mate been on shift and have been shattered!! I know your feeling, it's very frustrating when you don't know enough to be able to help out and do your job. But it will come with time just hang in there you will soon be organising your day effortlessly and your days will have structure to them. Main thing is that your happy and that like you say it's a relaxed area to work in . Good luck buddy with everythingCavetroll87 wrote:Yeah not too bad, little bit boring as 1st days normally are in a new career coz limited stuff i can do but i know the scope is there as i keep training so all good, nice relaxed place to work too which makes a change for me haha

Mars have dealt with the situation very professionally and promptly. Mars told all associates on the day it went public team by team. All of slough factory stopped production and had a HUGE clean down we were unsure why but we now know! We are back up and running again like normal! I personally am in the wrapping department for the Bars sections (Mars, Snickers and Milkyway) best department in the world as Snickers is my favourite

Cracking pics Jack! Must have been a buzz flying with the B-17, think that one is on a fair few bucket lists.
Today we had FiL, MiL, Midi Gee, DiL and Grandson Gee here for lunch, and I have to report it was a huge success and an afternoon very well spent. Feeling very relaxed indeed tonight.

"flying with" - I wish , just a spectator on the ground , I could have blagged a media pass but I doubt even that would get me in the air .

Back to the grindstone. Thankfully I made sure everyone knew I was away so I've only got a few emails I need to deal with.

I've been inside a B-17 over at March AFB. They're crude beyond belief. The main thing I remember is the "escape hatch" is frickin' tiny.Jack wrote:Deegee wrote:Cracking pics Jack! Must have been a buzz flying with the B-17, think that one is on a fair few bucket lists.

The guy showing us the plane must've been about 147 years old.....he told us that a major flaw with the plane was that the crew would get in it, then strap their chutes on....but it was a major PITA to get out of the plane in a hurry....especially if it was on fire, everyone else is scrambling to get out, chute in the way, etc.
Larger hatches were retrofitted as-&-when they could get to it....or sommit like that.
