One of my friend’s runs a scratching company. There is a big shortage of new pigs currently because the feed comes from Ukraine and as with tomatoes, any meat from the EU stays there as they can sell all they have there.

He was reading parts of the report done last week in London by one of the big food marketing boards. By quarter three and four this year they are expecting some food shortages to be even worse and the prices to go even higher. Pork has gone up by 58% in the last few months.

No, not just BREXIT, we've had an ageing population and a skills shortage for many years. Sadly the government (including the previous Labour government to some degree) has managed to convince a majority of voters that Mohamed the brain surgeon is after their job!

I read something similar about Japan a few weeks ago....they have a really old population thanks to
a really good healthcare system (or something like that), and the birth rate is extremely low...I'm sure those two factors are strongly linked. Either way, the population there is in decline, and that decline is accelerating.
