A good insight into one of the Blade Runner 2049 characters and how they made her look the same as in the 1982 film.
It's very hard to tell it's not a real person. Scary but ingenious.

a few more years and they'll be able to make convincing films featuring nothing but CG characters and we'd probably never notice

There are already security concerns because the tech is in place to put anyone in a certain place. Imagine what'll happen when people start interfering with CCTV footage or stage someone being caught in a compromising situation?
