Let's start a war

Postby Kwacky » 04 Sep 2017, 09:16

do we think it'll kick off or is it more sabre rattling to see who will back down first? I can't see China and Russia taking kindly to nukes landing on their doorstep.

I think Id be very surprised if something didn't kick off, just a matter off how much and who sides with who (China and Russia I'm mainly thinking of there)
Remember: If in Doubt use Full Throttle, It may not make the situation any better, But it will end the suspense...

Putin has said that its a waste of time trying to negotiate with NK , they (Russia) have already evacuated the border area , I think China will try and stay neutral but unless they publicly side against him it will make any action against NK extremely difficult , I think Trump is crazy enough to use nukes but probably not as a first strike option , NK I believe would not hesitate to nuke anybody who set foot on their soil with the possible exception of the Chinese . The Chinese were responsible for the creation of the original regime , I think it can only be them who dismantle it, anything else would put us on the brink of all out nuclear disaster .

In all honesty i think there will be a lot of talk and no action. (as usual)

In the meantime NK will build more and more nuclear weapons and then get to a point where they are untouchable as other countries won't want nuclear war. (we may well be there now).

Then NK will nuke someone at some point because they have plenty of weapons.

I'm surprised there are not special forces in NK (there may well be). Best thing would be to kill the regime covertly and have china go in and take over.

Totally agree Cookie.

I think the only reason he hasn't been assinated is fear of the consequences of such action, as no doubt he has preempted that specific threat and made plans accordingly.

People never know where he is and he's very paranoid, so it would be hard to track him down and then get close enough to do the job or get a shot off.

I think Trump should do Mexico. It's on his doorstep and he clearly doesn't like them.

The guy oozes racism......but I don't know why we'd go into Mexico....once you invade and occupy a place, then you have to take care of it, and that means $$$.

Still....they do have nice beaches.

Say you're going in to solve the drug problem, wipe out 1/3 of the population, take the bits you like then retreat to your home country. It's the American way.

One nuclear bomb set off in the wrong place would mean we are looking at a situation that would make 1930s look like a bad few weeks rather than a depression.

The way tensions are, a detonation may not be needed. Even a launch could be enough for a twitchy finger.

Quite a worrying time.

it's the closest we have been to wiping ourselves from existence since the bay of pigs , I somehow don't think that this will end as well as that did , Trump is no JFK and for all his faults Khrushchev was not a raving paranoid megalomaniac

It's nothing more than global dick-swinging from the NKs.

All but one of the players here (NK) have permanent seats on the UN Security Council....they're not about to kick off over this...this is just a sticking point between countries doing business with each other.

I'd say it's the other way around, not that I'm defending a despot leader and total Cnut.

It might cure the starting issues. A radiation fuelled bike could be more mental than the H2R (rock)
