And people think bikes are dangerous!

Post by kiwikrasher »

This road is very close to me, I've been going up this hill when a bunch of these nutters came down.

Can't believe the only way to break is sliding the board and he's not in leathers!! There is some big drops along this road, if he went over he'd be screwed.

That dude is the National Champ and currently 13th in the World standings, so I'm guessing he thinks it's worth it.

Love seeing the skill it takes to do that, but him wearing just a thought shirt s&*ts me up!! Could be very nasty if he had to quickly move for a rock in the road or something

Rossgo I ride this road on occasion and I wouldn't be doing it without full leathers regardless of my skill. No joke, some areas on that road if you go off the side it's a 200m minimum drop. No that leathers would help that

Totally, at at his skill level probably a lot safer than me going down on my bike in full leathers!

Why not?? There's absolutely no reason in this world why you couldn't do something like that. What makes you think that someone doing something like that doesn't feel the same way about you riding your bike??

When I was a teenager I used to do that. Never got the idea of grinding though that was a bit much ir was odd occasion yhat i could do it and fell a few tomes trying to do it lol and the drop in got me too but when moving I was ok. One of the older lads taught me to drop in by sitting down to standing up, if that makes sense. Helped out a lot when beginning. Was really fun but then I watched a young lad do a small ramp and misjudged it and smashed the front of his mouth knocking out his teeth and badly hitting his face (nose, forehead etc) and his back when landing. The amount of blood all over him so quickly, I took it a lot easier after that and wouldn't be seen dead on it now

Used to really love my skating, played hockey too, getting back into ice skating now and I am feeling my age, can't/ won't do half the crap I used to do!!
