Off to a local pub that's been recommended this evening - good food, but the landlord is a grumpy sod. I'll report later.

Had a cracking meal - 10oz gammon, egg, peas and big fat homemade chips. It was piping hot, well cooked and gorgeous though sadly more than I could eat. (Only by a few chips though)

So much for the grumpy landlord, got chatting and he was a lovely guy. We will be eating there again.

I'm in a Greek restaurant on the Southbank. Got to meet my boss and a client at 7am in London so thought feck it, booked a hotel and jumped on the train. My days of getting up at 2am for work are over.

A 10oz fillet steak nice and rare, with a veg kebab and a few chips, then a big plate of profiteroles and ice cream. Stuffed now though.

Was at a wedding yesterday and we ate so much. Starter was pork, main was a big fat steak with beg and potatoes and desert was a massive slice chunk of sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. There was a more handed out throughout the night, sweet potato wedges, cheese boards etc but we couldn't fit it all in!!

Did myself a still-twitching sirloin with potatoes and creamed spinach last night. VERY tender cut....managed to carmelize the mushrooms a bit, but not a deal-breaker......few things are. Plus, that's the one part I always manage to fcuk up.
