Well if you're going to crash that's the sort you want. Battle scars on a bike look good as well.

Hard to call. You're overtaking so it's up to you to make sure you can, but you've gone wide when he's set up for the corner, then he drifts over again. Don't think you can predict that.

I thought that but I always take a wide line into there as on a v twin and need the corner speed on the couners I followed him on it looked as if he was ok into couners.

But i guess your right

Mark very glad your ok and hope the bike is not badly damaged.

If you want an honest opinion for me I agree with Kwacky it would be your responsibility to ensure you had enough room to pass safely. The other rider may not have been aware of your presence and at the end of the day it's a trackday not racing. It's just a bit of fun so for me on a TD a overtake should give plenty of space to both riders and be safe. Just my opinion for what it's worth and definitely not a dig, plus very glad your ok.

If it was me and I was held up I would usually ride through pit lane to position myself in a different position on track relative to other riders and hopefully in more space to get a clean lap.

Hope your well and take care.

Pleased to hear that you're largely ok Mark. Fwiw my crash ratio is the same this year.

Perhaps you need to invest in one of these mate.:

Another here with a 50% crash ratio this year. Think I'd agree with the consensus above. Whilst I don't think you really did a lot wrong it does look like you've committed to the overtake slightly before he's committed to his line and corner which is always going to be a risk. I'd also say that after following him for a while you can see his lines are a bit wayward so you'd have to expect him to do the unexpected? FWIW you looked pretty good round the rest of the lap! Glad you made it out relatively ok and got out again. Another FWIW and I'm no riding God but I'd much rather make an overtake on the brakes long before the corner or hang back a little to get a better drive out and overtake on or after corner exit. Or as Blade says run straight through the pits and put yourself on a different part of the track. It does look very narrow there and difficult to overtake.

That is such a great idea Monty, I will remember that, nice one mate (y)

There's one of those "three or four" posting that video IMHO mate. Cracking pace, especially if you didn't get on with the new tyres.
Some very courteous overtakes too. (clap)
