I don't like the blanking bolts they've supplied so I've ordered some from SP Engineering. http://www.spengineering.co.uk/billet-a ... iumph.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Those look loads better than the ones currently fitted. No need for a high profile internal wrenching bolt just for blanking purposes. The ones you're ordered look like they have a nice low profile and a much cleaner look.

I felt a bit sorry for the STR so I whipped off the cover this morning and her into work.

The mirrors work fine. I did some minor adjustments on the move. I took a set of folding allen keys with me so I can tighten everything up if needs be.

It still takes me a few miles to adjust to riding the triple after spending so long with the Versys.

I keep looking at other exhausts. I've got the arrows can on and it's very nice, but since Triumph halfed the price of the arrow can other exhausts have come down in price. I might try one of the cone shaped cans in the future, something like this Scorpion one.

I'll have a look over winter and see if there are any bargains to be had. If I don't like it I can stick it back on ebay.

The conical shape exhausts do really suit the 13+ 675's. This was mine.

It sounded great with not too much rasp, it came with 2 baffles so i always used the race baffle, even without a baffle it passed the noise test at cadwell park.

They're not the loudest of bikes, which is fine for me. I've done the window rattling thing in the past, my ears didn't thank me.

I have the Serkat on my MT as you know, its a really nice exhaust, and having had the arrow on my street triple I can honestly say If I still had the STR Id swap it for the scorpion now.

The bike won' t be used much after the Isle of Man and I certainly won't be taking it out over winter, so there's time to save up and have a look around to see what's available.

Realised I've not used this bike for far too long so I thought I would get it ready to use for a couple of days this week.

The battery was too weak to fire up the engine. so it's out and being charged.

I might get a motobatt for it. I forgot that the batteries on Triumphs tend to be crap.

Surprised me that, I honestly never had an issue with my battery on the STR, I think the longest it was sat unridden was about 3 weeks and still fired straight up, unlike my Honda, that thing was a big, leave it a week and it would struggle, even after I replaced the battery

I know on previous Triumph models I've had that the Datatool 3 alarm drains the battery.

I've got a 4 alarm on this one, which I've had on other bikes without it being an issue. No idea why it went flat. It could be a crap battery. I'll find out when I get home as it's been on trickle charge.

Strange - i had a 4 on my RC8 and Mrs C00kie has a 3. Hers eats batteries and i swear it's the Datatool 3. Datatool 4 was fine.

I might have a crap battery. I had a 4 on the SX and the ZX6R and neither caused me any problems.

Charged battery is in. A quick local lap to make sure it's all good.

I need to sort the clutch out, the Triumph insistence to have the clutch in to start it and my liking the biting point close to the bar are not compatible. The bike won't start if the bite is close. Trying to get it set up so the bike starts is a fine art.
