Actually used it this morning, was dry and relatively warm so decided to give her a run for first time in a while...first couple of miles were more than a little slippy until I got some heat in the tyres, these Michelins are deffo going next year, but nice to be back out, and glad I did as traffic was terrible.

Today went out for an observed ride. Covered around 70 miles. Overall st a good standard BUT I have some bad habits and I really need to sort them out. Also need to get more comfortable with 'the system' again but need to get out more often than what I currently am doing. It's the difference between a pass and a F1RST which is obviously what I'm aiming for. Nice to get the feed back but have some work to do.

Also messaged the allocations guy last night for an observer. I've only gone and bagged our chairman very impressive results for his associates too so hoping he can point me in the right direction

Pilot power 2ct, I cant stand them mate, got very little confidence in them, even in the warm they seem to take forever to heat up and seem very unstable. They work ok but they just don't give you that little extra bit of confidence to keep pushing the limits and brake that bit later and corner that bit faster. They are meant to be a sports tyre and they certainly have worn away like sports rubber but haven't felt I've had anywhere near the grip levels of the Pirelli diablo rosso corsas I used to have.

Only thing I would say with regards to stability and confidence mid corner is that these are the tyres that came on the bike so some of that may be bike characteristics and suspension and maybe I'm being overly harsh as it s not all down to the tyres and as I've not used anything else on it I have nothing to compare them to if that's makes sense. But as it stands I really don't like them, worn far too quickly without the benefits of being super sticky. Deffo trying the m7rrs on it next although the money I had put aside for them has been eroded by xmas present buying :(

Cool about the observed rides mate, good luck!

Haven't planned that far ahead yet. It took me a little over a year to do my IAM test so I'm not in any rush to get me to the FIRST standard. Just want to get the ball rolling on it. It's a tough process as I don't ride everyday. The guys who generally get the F1RST are guys who commute to places like London each day etc. I'd ideally like to do it by end of next year so it gives me a time frame of 12 months but if I don't then that's fine with me I'll be ready when I'm ready! My pass standard is good and will do a pass all day everyday by the sounds of it just haven't got the bells and whistles yet.

When i passed my test last year I was aiming for it but a few little things held me back so it's very tough

Suppose to do the toy run today but it was cancelled due to snow. So instead me and my dad dropped off our pressies at the meet point because the organisers arranged a few vans to turn up to take the pressies. I was surprised with how many people turned up dropping off prrssies in their cars. It's nice to see that people do still care

The photo is upside down when I look at it. It's an ongoing bug with the forum software.

What tyres are they? Look like Michelin pilot powers? I've had a couple pairs of them and found them excellent to be honest. They did a brilliant job when I was doing my IAM training during the wet, cold freezing they still did their job well!

Very surprised mate. I didn't have the 2ct but I regarded them as the bigger better tyre. Also got some very good mileage out of them. Although does just shoe how different people get different feelings from things lol. Go for the M7RR mate they are fantatsic

Never mind, its the thought and motivation to do so that counts (wasntme)
