I gave the AT a big wash. The problem with a big naked adventure bike is trying to get it clean. There's so many nooks and crannies for the dirt to find its way in. I've taken the belly pan off so I'l start to scrub that and polish it over the next few days.

The Versys could do with a wash but I'm going to leave for a couple of weeks yet.

Had Tracker fitted to AT this morning, hopefully not cause any issues with bike itself.

Fitted for free with only the £109 per year to pay so thought it was worth it.

Anyone any experience of it? Any issues?

I've got the trakking adventure on my AT. No issues at all. It doesn't seem to touch the battery.

Fitted new front pads to the Multi. Gone for SBS at JHP recommendation.

Had an intetesting chat with the parts manager, Tim. The V4 when used on the track is pushing the components so hard with all that power that they are recommending fitting race parts where possible.

Anything other than the Brembo ZO4 race pads and the backing plates are warping with all the heat.

Just been for a ride on the back roads to Holmfirth and up to Holm Moss, bit windy up there.

Then down mostly back roads again to the edge of Matlock and on to CMC at Clay Cross for a Burger and a brew while looking at all the bikes, nothing peaked my interest.
The Continental tyres are great, my confidence in them is growing already and thats on dusty slippery tarmac.

Today I went over to Devil's Bridge at Kirkby Lonsdale via Wakefield to meet one friend and Skipton to meet a couple more, and even more at Devil's Bridge.
After a brew and a chat there we headed down to the Pitt Stop cafe at Lancaster, nice selection of bikes to have a look around, good food at decent prices and friendly staff.

I also found the limit of grip on the RA3's rear tyre, and all I knew about it on damp salty roads was the TC light flickering briefly, the bike was not unsettled at all which is a stark contrast to the Avon UltraSports in similar conditions, the back end stepped out with no warning on those and left the bike bucking under me, not pleasant.
Not trying to slate the avon's too badly, on a less torque laden bike they would be fine, and in dry weather they could handle the torque and were fun.

It was light when I left home this morning. So now I'm riding to and from work in the daylight. It makes a massive psychological difference when you're commuting.

Fitted a taller screen that came with the bike.

It must be 6 inch taller than stock (wasntme) so looks wise it looks pants (n) but thought I would give it a try, as it may be a good touring option.

(nod) made a massive difference to my mood when I was commuting into London.

Quite glad I'm starting my bike commuting as the weather warms up.

Bought a "little" chain for the vfr when it arrives. Then spent the morning swearing at insurance companies and the rip off that they are. /Moves over to vent threadImage

See post in vent thread, nearly as much as it currently costs to insure the BMW + Outlander + KTM...

I think I'm going to order a load of parts for mine today..

Oil
Plugs
Possibly a K&N Filter cleaning kit
Exhaust gasket
Rubber grommits for fairings

Probably going to pop to machine mart and buy another shelfing rack for the workshop too.
