... in the USA probably a decade ago for something called UIA... unintended acceleration. It was killing families at a time and the brakes either weren't strong enough to overcome the power or they were brake by wire and couldn't operate - I forget which.

... but it's there, the crash bar lower front bolt ripped a chunk out, upper front bolt was a high tensile one and just snapped, the forces involved were... Significant... Maybe the crash bar absorbed enough to save the frame? (shocked)

... temperature we saw was 38°c and 12°c up on the mountain peaks, in August they had snow on the Grimsel pass, in early July it was mid 20's. There were times where it rained and I didn't bother with waterproofs, it was mid 30's and the cooling was welcomed, we dried out pretty quick.
