I wheeled the bike out to take to work. The pump primed but there wasn't enough to start it. That's after 2 days. I'll try the optimate on it but I seems that the battery is fried. Time to look for a replacement.

Agreed, Summer clobber on with dry roads, give or take some major floods still about... so just as well i did not wash the bike again! Now clocked up the mileage for its first service. It really needs a different riding style to the S1000R, very light ...
