Re: Does anyone know the A82 in Scotland?
I've driven it ... lovely countryside. Plan to do it on the bike at some point , maybe this year but I'm not one to plan too far in the future so it'd be more of a spur of the moment thing . Still can't decide whether I'd camp or go the b&b route .... or chuck the bike in the van and use that as...

Re: Whats the best job you,ve ever had?
Of all the jobs the one I've enjoyed most was as a delivery driver , I only took it as a temporary position and I thought it below my skill set but I bloody loved being out on the road and meeting new people. I stuck the position for 18 months and that was maybe 12 months longer than I intended , st...

We were wild camping in Scotland, so needed a fair bit of kit.

Re: IAM
Nice one , Kwacky .... Cheap if it saves one accident or even one insurance claim.
After reading Rossgo's post on his EAR I considered some IAM course myself as I think my road riding skills need a brush up .. Might take another look at sorting it .

Re: Just one bike
Ktms build quality is poor Compared to what other manufacturer ? I've been riding Ktm's for 12 years and I've found build quality to be better than most with fantastic dealer support on spares and advice when ever I've asked for it...... Only thing I'm not keen on is the torq' s head bolts they now...

I don't think I'll manage 8k over 3 vehicles .... Maybe I need to move further away from work or get out more

Re: Just one bike
Tough decision, Kwacky
I'm finding it hard enough choosing a road bike and I don't have the problem of wanting a bike to commute on.
While ever I'm green laning it will always be 2 bikes though.

Re: Triumph tiger 800 ?
Thanks folks and R1ckster your a star (y) The XC is the one I've been looking at as it does fit me a little better even though there's not much difference between it and the XR from what I've read , the small differences seem to be enough. How does the engine fair , enough torque to be slightly lazy...

Triumph tiger 800 ?
Anybody got one , had one or ridden one and got an opinion ?
It's on my list of maybe's to replace the big Ktm and is more in my price range than a BMW GS/GS-A which are strong money to buy ... especially if you want something with sensible mileage (under 30k )

An adventure style bike but I'm having a hard job justifying the expense if I'm honest .... Atleast the cash from the sale is making my bank balance look goodKwacky wrote:What are you going for?
