Re: Kwacky's ongoing Africa Twin Adventure Sport review

wheels off, tyres off, tubes out, discs off, bearings out, sprocket off, reverse process. So yes, Honda just send new rims. Did you think I was getting new tyres, sprocket and brakes as well? Just sounded a long time. Suppose your right though. I've replaced a front tyre and discs myself in 30 mins...

Re: Kwacky's ongoing Africa Twin Adventure Sport review

Sutton have filed a warranty request. They'll call me when Honda reply. They reckon it'll take about 90 minutes to swap the wheels. 1hr and 30 mins.... Are they literally giving new rims only and rebuilding the wheels? [emoji38] At least is warranty covered [emoji1696] Sent from my SM-N960F using T...

Re: Any idea

Thanks chaps.. have stripped it. And found one bulb looked ok but was blown. Swapped it and it worked. Then tried the other spot light in the working side of the harness...worked. So both spot lights work. Seems to be a problem with one side of the harness or loom thing. Sent from my E5823 using Tap...

Re: enjoying riding?

Spot on... Unused to meet up every Sunday with mates for a blast out and a breakfast .. enjoy the thrill of riding my then Sports Bikes.. this dwindled I then started to do 2000 miles a month and ended up getting a dual sport (no regrets). However there is no passion or spirit to go out just for a r...

Re: Rukka

I never realised that sort of clothing was so expensive! I'll stick to my £1000 suit for £575 direct from Italy thanks! :D How much is it to fully kit yourself up with the equivalent Rukka or Klim kit? Jacket, Trousers, Boots, Gloves, Gaitors, etc..??? Depends how much you want to spend. I've no id...

Re: Rukka

It's good that they're giving you a new jacket but look how often you've been without it. How much did you spend on postage? I've had Rukka and was disappointed overall. Klim is head and shoulders above Rukka imo. So far post was also free. I was sent a reply paid sticker. So really was all about t...

Re: Susten Pass

Went there every year for a few years. But not last 4.... However I'm off there this August. The susten is one of many. The whole area is riddles with passes that will blow your bike riding minds. There is nowhere else like it imo.

Rukka

Hi chaps Just thought I'd share an experience regarding Rukka clothing. It all started off well. Spent over 1k on top end trilaminate Goretex Pro trousers and jacket. Pleased with perfect fitting and style. The weather proof was second to none (that I had previously used anyway). Purchased from Germ...

Re: Kwacky's ongoing Africa Twin Adventure Sport review

As for Tyres. Had few sets of each on the 800XC Bridgestone BT501/502 Continental Trail Attack Pirelli Scorpion Trail Pirelli TKC80. For me personally I have had the BTs more often than the others. Good around feel and in dray and wet. And give good feedback in a corner when you kinda running the fr...

Re: Kwacky's ongoing Africa Twin Adventure Sport review

282 miles on the last tankful. Just under 23 litres to fill up this morning. I took the opportunity on the way home to look for some new roads. One of the roads some some nice rises on it. I found that if you get the AT airborne the TC kicks in, so when the bike lands it feels like the engine has l...

Re: Kwacky's ongoing Africa Twin Adventure Sport review

I've decided I don't like the dull finish on the sump guard. I tried a test area with some polish and it looks better. So I went for a larger test area :) I need to take it off at some point to give it a polish and get it looking shiny. At the moment it's got a large clean looking circle on it. (wa...

Re: Kwacky's ongoing Africa Twin Adventure Sport review

Time for a new thread I guess. So the bike is due in just over a week. It's the Adventure Sport which has a host of features including adjustable engine braking. Its got a bigger tank and taller seat. I've ordered a lower seat which I'll use until I'm comfortable with the height and weight of the b...
