Re: First gen daytona 675 quickshifter

You pay for the best lol. Got a bargain on the Cordona second hand. The Bazzaz stuff doesn't have a very good reputation on. 675.cc! Got mine second hand so can't help with distributors

Re: First gen daytona 675 quickshifter

I've got a Cordona fitted to mine. No complaints or snappages so far... Works really well. You can set cut time and the weight needed to make the shift.

Re: Headstock Paddock Stand or Abba?

I don't know anything about changing the fork oil (beyond it being a good idea!) but I do know the Abba stand is incredibly easy to use. To raise the front I then just use a normal car trolley jack under the exhaust manifold.

Re: Biker in distress

I always stop if it doesn't put me in too much danger or I'm massively late already. I've pushed a few cars off roundabouts, junctions etc and changed a few tyres. I always think what if it was my nan/mum etc

Re: Helmets and Track Days

I didn't buy a GT air for this reason. It can't get approval apparently because of something to do with the gap between the shell for the dark screen to move in. Seemed odd and I've since seen cheaper models with retracting screens with the sticker so not sure what the truth of it is!

Re: New Ignition switch

I don't think the Daytona has a coded key. I got a cheap non triumph copy cut when I snapped a key and it works fine.

Re: Buying Tyres on t'interweb

As far as I know 'foreign' tyres are of the same specification as here. The only thing to look at is the date stamp as you don't want tyres that have been sitting round. Not a problem if you're buying a newly released tyre. Which qualifier were you trying to get? The Q3 is available in some countrie...

Hi all my name's Andy and I'm 34 from the Wirral near Chester. Met a few of you on a ride out round Wales at the end of last year.
