That's a good one...or maybe even endurance racing?? I know AUDI pushed it's diesel-whatever technology through it's Le Mans team....destroyed the field with it's petrol cars and then did even better with it's diesel-powered racers. Probably still does.

Re: Hope this comes to motorbike engines
I think this is game changing.
If you added some sort of variable compression, you could have an engine that could run on everything from natural gas to cooking oil. And everything in between.
Possibly even swapping between 2 and 4 stroke. Although that would make the exhaust complicated.

It was all fine.
Return crossing was a bit bouncy and few passengers looked a bit green around the gills Just adds a bit of fun to the ride IMO
The bomb issue in Portsmouth was not even an issue for the Southampton crossings

Off to the Isle of Wight
... lunch and then I am guest speaker at the Isle of Wight advanced group tonight before catching the 10.30pm Red Jet back to the mainland tonight. Even 80 miles inland I can feel the wind picking up and the forcast is getting worse. It could make for an interesting if not fun 25 minutes crossing ...
