Re: Helmet recommendations

That's the one I've got in the same colours as Kwacky. I bought it as a summer/track day helmet but it's that good I use it all year around. Plus a I got a mega deal on it, 180 quid delivered with a spare light tint visor and a pinlock. The visor and pinlock would have cost at least 60 ...

... my own gift. But I'm pretty much done with buying all the stuff for other people....just need to wrap it. I usually pick up a few items during the year....saves all the rush & stress of shopping at this time of year.

Nothing stays clean for long on the roads at this time of year.

Re: What are you doing today ??

Popped along to Cov Uni for an open day at the Motorsport Engineering dept. The place looks brilliant. They build a car every year that gets raced at Silverstone in a student cup after the F1, the one they have this year is being developed to be under 200kg and it has a tuned CBR600RR ...

... a long way to building on their relationship, but it's all to hard for her. Dan is apparently doing a bigger and better tour in Oz later in the year so I am hopeful I am around for that one.

Re: Clear visor

I would need at least 3 for each ride. That's 30 a week. They're £7.50 for 5 so lets say I ride for 4 months in the year where there's road salt that's close to £200 a year.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

I still have debt to pay off on this one. I combined a loan to pay for the bike and our touring van. It ends 2018, so a year and a bit to go. Which will tie in nicely, as currently nothing in the Triumph range is quite grabbing me enough to go into debt for. *** I still really like ...

... weigh less than 200kg so a pair of them is still well within capacity. On an aside, fwiw I needed a ton of limestone dust for my cobbles last year, and my little "630kg" max load (may have ;) ) coped perfectly. 8)

Re: New hoops. Metzeler Roadtec 01 Review

The profile is flatter than the z8 so I don't think there's an issue.

The pressure in is recommended by Metzeler

I've not struggled with grip any more than usual for this time of year. No spin ups yet.

Re: Credit card blocking

Barclaycard's fraud algorithms suck. I used to go to the same places in Italy every year for work, normally at similar times and every year they would block my card.

Christmas lists

Anyone done theirs yet?

Not sure what I want this year. On the biking front I need some more base layers and the rear paddock stand could do with being replaced.

Otherwise there's not much I can think I need (apart from a new bike).

Adding my two pence to this, as it is time I looked for a lid, most likely over the new year deals. Shoei, Arai and hjc have all been favourites of mine, for fit and quality, oh and my Premier lid that was awesome. I bought the GT Air a few years back, it was at this ...

Cheers Kiwi. The kids might do but me and wifey don't take them for granted. Warwick Castle is a lovely place to visit any time of the year. We've got everything from ancient earth mounds to Victorian fake castles around this area.
