Re: Ford Europe

There's also the alternative view that how a person responds under pressure is a good indicator of how they will act when the pressure is off, yes??

I mean...no-one who does well in a test/exam complains about them, do they??

"Hey, I passed my exam!! - Exams suck, though!!"

Unlikely.

Re: May tackles pron issue

ID cards = good idea. Over here you're required to carry them at all times. You don't even give them a 2nd thought. It's a card in your wallet & nothing more.

Re: The new improved fitness thread

I only got into trail-running when I was in school. All the other lads would be playing football, and because football is crap I just asked our teacher if I could run around the hill next to the pitch instead. And hey-ho...a sloth was born!!

Re: The new improved fitness thread

I did a minimal amount of trail running back when I was still racing MTBs. I didn't enjoy it very much, but I'd entered a few duathlons & a triathlon so needed to get in shape. Downhills that are fun on a bike are a PITA on two feet. There's no rest/breaks/speed, etc. It take the whole concept o...

I'll start building a model plane or sommit to pass the time.

Re: Munich and Munich Olympic Park

It might be a bit macabre, but all this Munich-talk has given me an appetite to watch er..."Munich" again. Excellent movie, in case anyone hasn't seen it.

And I hadn't realized Munich was so far south inside Germany....I thought it was near the Baltic. Couldn't have been more wrong.

Seems like a trail bike more than a pure off-roader...which I suppose is the general idea.

Memory tests are pretty good for helping with long term memory though.

IQ testing is a fairly level playing field, all things considered.

In that sense/context, a "snowflake" was a black person who acted 'too white', 'too uppity', etc.

Re: Ford Europe

The education system is all wrong. It's all geared up on ideals set up in the 19th century. Lots of kids don't do well in school so they end up on the scrap heap. There's a lot of stuff you'll be taught that you'll never ever use in the adult world...you just won't. BUT! - That stuff does get you t...
