Our girls have come for a few days, so ate too much this morning, walk on the beach this afternoon, now choccies, film, laughs and playing with the pup. It doesnt get much better frankly.

Got stuck in Morrisons car park for 40mins!! Literally didn't move. I love us Brits, we were stuck and couldn't move and yet no-one beeped well apart from the di (£head behind me who demanded I move out his way so he could get in front of me...I said to him 'like f^&k ...

Fair shout. Did you know?.....The original Messer-Bf.109's were also powered by Rolls-Royce engines??? Small batch...smuggled to Spain to help Franco (allegedly) and then on to Germany. Different sources on that one though......Wiki will tell you anything ...

The Packard engines were mainly built for the P-51 Mustang i believe.

Fair enough. But I did write that they were Spitfire motors. The multi engine apps......Lancasters, etc.....their motors were the Brit-built mills.

The prototypes were built in the states. You can easily tell, as the tolerances on engineered parts are huge, the build quality awful and it required a huge powersource to provide even minimal performance. Then the Chinese copied ...

Shared a bottle of hot Glühwein with FiL while we were decorating our Christmas tree this afternoon, very nice - but about 25°C too warm in our lounge to enjoy it at its best.
