Re: Weekend Plans

Totally agree Cav and its not a rant its dam good sense talking. Myself and my wife did the IAM many years ago as like you say should be the basic standard of driving not an advanced level. When it's time we will actively encouraging our children to do exactly the same.

Re: Weekend Plans

Last night was rushing round like a boy arsed fly to collect the track bike and stuff.

Today is mainly spending time with the kids.

Tomorrow will probably be more of the same, and dropping the track bike off for storage.

Time will also be spent starting negotiations for almaria next year (bandit)

Re: Tyre options for the SX

... both love and hate buying something new and untested - love it because it's new and hate it because I don't know if I'm going to like it. It's the same with brakes, tyres and trackdays. Obviously there's an easy answer for trackdays - do them all !!

... his favourite overall sports touring tyre. He's tried 8 types of tyres so far. His overall favourite is the M7rr. It sounds like he looks for the same things from a tyre as I do and several of them have all really enjoyed the Z8s on the SX. One poster went from the Angel GT to the Z8 and he says ...

Re: Hourly pay rate of...

But do people think that if the living wage was 9quid per hour prices in this country would stay the same? Or do you think it would cause massive inflation?

I think the latter. At the end of the day look at Oz, yes they are on good money but feck me it's so expensive over there.

Re: Kawasaki Spirit Charger

I do love the top end scream of a 600.

For the road I would love a Tuono V4

For the track I dont need anymore than a 600 but yes, if I could get a bike with the same engine characteristics but with 60 more bhp throughout the rev range then that would be good fun

Re: SBS DC (Dual Carbon) vs SBS DS (Dual Sintered)

I remember PB mag doing the same test and there was an improvement in HH pads over OEM. I would imagine the difference is great again with a more track focused pad. Tbh I get what Matt is saying as you can do a stoppie with oem pads and ...

Re: Helmet Poll

I've tried them on already. The HJC fitted like a glove. The AGV was a corsa but same shell as the veloce so should be a similar fit. I would say the HJC fitted better but not sure if I just needed to get used to the agv as sits very high and exposed at the rear ...

Saw that on twitter too. I bet Casey is well used to arm chair racers and keyboard warriors throwing their imaginery weight around.

Funnily enough Foggy said the same thing on twitter but got a lot less flak than Casey.
