Re: I'm struggling to understand this
... I know my dear old Mam lost her first child at age two and never ever fully recovered from it, not by a mile - hence me and my r'tard sister being adopted (less pain...she was wrong!!). Who knows what goes through the mind of someone who loses a child?? I know I don't...and I don't ever want ...

Re: What ails you today?
Yep. Been there a few times myself. Combination of nerves, being scared, utterly terrified, sheer panic, etc. First TD I ever did I was almost literally shitting bricks and throwing up I was so terrified. Wasn't that bad as I thought once I got out there....OK, ...

My money is on Ducati or Aprilia being first. Japanese companies are rarely the first at these things as profit is their ultimate goal. They seem better at evolution and refinement though Honda were very good at innovation at one time.

"If he can make it, I can make it"
I had that for the first time at Pembrey this year; someone on an R6 who does racing came past me. He helped pull me along a bit and I ended up being half a second or more faster a lap (that's alot on a 1 minute lap!). Best trackday I've been on

In that kind of situation you know that it's more about the rider than the machine. You also get to learn a hell of a lot ...

I've not heard fast boys aren't welcome but its a bit more relaxed due to no tyre warmers etc
Its crap being on a road bike when everyone is overtaking you when you are trying to get your tyres up to temp
I think road bike only days are a good idea

The EU aren't helping by telling Britain to get on with it. Yeah, you being bossy like that is one of the reasons people wanted to leave. Besides, there's no one here to pull the plug.

Re: Character
For me it's when the bike becomes 'alive'... on my ZX6R that's between 10-16k and being hard on the brakes, whereas on an SV650 it's between 4-9k. Because of this the ZX6R is 'characterless' at a sedate pace whereas the SV is a much more enjoyable bike more of the time

Wouldn't a general election have to be called by the Torys as they have a mandate to be in government for 5 years from being elected and I can't see that happening. Is there any other scenario where a general election can be called ? I bet there are plenty of Tories who wouldn't mind ...

Seeing the way Scotland voted if we are to quit the UE then I reckon Scotland will want to leave the UK.
Large chunks of Wales was being propped up by EU handouts, so we'll be left with that problem.
I hear property is cheap in Ireland....
